Vitamin D Supplementation Influences Ultramarathon-Induced Changes in Serum Amino Acid Levels, Tryptophan/Branched-Chain Amino Acid Ratio, and Arginine/Asymmetric Dimethylarginine Ratio

چکیده
Exercise affects serum levels of amino acids and their metabolites, with important metabolic consequences. Since vitamin D impacts skeletal muscle protein degradation, we hypothesised that it would also impact exercise-induced changes in acid the arginine influencing body’s ability to synthesise NO. Accordingly, analysed effect a single high-dose supplementation on various ultramarathon runners. Thirty-five male amateur runners were assigned supplemented group, administered 150,000 IU vegetable oil 24 h before run (n = 16), or control (placebo) group 19). Blood was sampled before, immediately after, after run. Changes some distinct two groups. The asymmetric dimethyl significantly decreased increased later not affected by supplementation. symmetric both groups but lower than placebo dimethylamine as compared group. In conclusion, methylated metabolites.

rapid and simple determination of plasma amino acid ratio
in recent years considerable interest has been focused on the plasma amino acid patterns as a possible index of protein malnutrition, in children. thus a change in the ratio of non-essential to essential amino acids is considered to be significant in the development of protein malnutrition. the present paper reports a simplified and rapid chromatographic procedure for the determination of this ...

متن کاملInfluence of vegetable amino acids and oils supplementation of on Chlorella vulgaris amino acid profile
The aim of the present research is to investigate the profile of amino acid of Chlorella vulgaris supplemented with some plant amino acid and oil extracts. The bioactive oil and amino acid from four Iranian medicinal plants, namely Oliveria decumbens, Thymus kotschyanus, Trachyspermum ammi, and Zataria multiflora were obtained. The LC-MS / MS analysis demonstrated that the major amino acids com...
متن کاملUpdate on branched-chain amino acid supplementation in liver diseases.
PURPOSE OF REVIEW Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) have a peculiar role in whole-body nitrogen metabolism. BCAAs are a substrate for protein synthesis, and have been used to conserve or restore muscle mass in advanced liver disease. In addition, the competitive action of BCAAs on amino acid transport across the blood-brain barrier may improve hepatic encephalopathy. RECENT FINDINGS The effe...
متن کاملVitamin D and urinary amino acid excretion in the rabbit.
There is ample evidence that vitamin D deficiency rickets in man is associated with hyperaminoaciduria (1). Further studies (2) on renal clearance have de monstrated that elevated urinary amino acid excretion results from diminished reabsorption of it by the renal tubular cells. Many attempts (3, 4), however, failed to find aminoaciduria in experimental rachitic animals until GROSE and SCRIBER ...
